Dog Training Awards

When I started my dog training journey, I knew my biggest happiness was the owner's happiness.

These are the most common words I hear from the owners I work with:

"Thank you Agnes, you have changed our life for the better. We really understand our puppy better now."

It always melts my heart. Those words are the best award for me and I've always been grateful for that.

However, one day, I got the e-mail that I have won this beautiful award. I was sure it was a joke or spam.

"How on earth I could win anything," I said to myself as I am a shy person. But, I have and I have to admit I am proud of it.

That award only proves I do my work properly, with love and passion.

Life is full of surprises.

My 2nd award!!!! 

I haven't expected that in my life, that my passion will bring not only joy in doing it but also reward.

I am so grateful for everything that happens in my life.

Sometimes, I am very picky with details and I apologise to my clients about that, but I know the secret is in the details to have a well-behaved puppy.

One day, my lovely client said, because I was picky again,: "Agnes, that's why you have won your 2nd award because you pay attention to details." 

Then I realised, she was right. I got it not for "pleasing" clients but for the hard work they need to put into dog training, to building the bond with their dog.  I just make sure it is done properly :)

I was over the moon that day because I could celebrate it with my lovely daughters who support me too. I am very proud of them for their understanding and patience during my work and study time. Thank you, Olivia and Holly.

I have to admit, I am spoiled this year with all my lovely awards.

I wonder if it is a reality because I would never have expected it - that I can be so rewarded in my life by doing my lovely work.

I think even on Mother's Day, I haven't been as prized as I am this year. Trust me, my children do amazing work on that day.

When I said to my children, "You have no idea what kind of email I've received."

My younger daughter looked at me with that look, "Another award?"

I jumped and "Yes! Yes! I am so happy!"

She still looks with THAT look like -no big deal......... another one.

Then she said, "Mum, I am not surprised because you are the best at what you do. Just start believing in it."

My older daughter: "Yeah, again just get used to it, you are the best either way," and they walked away.

Yes, I know very nice....

Then I looked at my Lexi, who said, "Yes I know... another one." :)

I realised that 'Yes, I am good at what I do and I love what I do.' I could talk about dogs' brains, emotions, and behaviours for hours ...... I just love dogs and the secrets they have for me to explore. I just love it!
